Part-Time Music Teacher
Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is seeking highly qualified candidates for a part-time (0.2 FTE) position to teach music to students in grades K-8. The teacher is responsible for the planning and implementation of instruction in music to students in grades K-8. The teacher provides feedback to both students and parents and ensures that Immanuel’s music curricula meet and exceed standards. Other professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining a safe learning environment, supervising students, maintaining student records, participating in professional development, communicating with staff/students/parents, and supporting co-curricular/extracurricular activities. Minimum Requirements: (1) Embrace the mission and ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. (2) Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills in relating to adults and children. (3) Meet any regulatory requirements of the position. (4) Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music, Education, or related field. (5) Hold an appropriate teaching certificate in the state of Illinois, or be willing to pursue the certificate. (6) Successfully complete the background check process. Salary Range and Benefits: $7,200 - $13,400 depending on level of education and years of experience. Substitute Teachers
Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is seeking highly qualified candidates to serve as Substitute Teachers when the need arises. Substitute teachers are responsible for maintaining classroom decorum while following the classroom teacher’s prepared lesson plans. Minimum Requirements: (1) Embrace the mission and ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. (2) Able to follow teacher’s prepared lesson plans. (2) Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills in relating to adults and children. (3) Possess skills relating to quality classroom management. (4) Successfully complete the background check process. A background in education is a plus, but not required.. Salary Expectations: Half-Day ($70); Full-Day ($140).
