Romans 5:19
For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.

Thought for Today

I often argue that “fair” is not a biblical value. If God gave us what was fair we would all be in a lot of trouble. One of the few exceptions to this comes from God’s promise to redeem us. God declares that if through one act of rebellion all people are led astray, then it is only fair that through one perfect at of righteousness all people should be restored. While this sounds simple, it was not. For a perfect act of righteousness was completely beyond us. It took God’s own Son to perform this act on our behalf. Jesus, our Champion, lived a perfect life for each of us and made us righteous. This is why He is worthy of our worship and praise!

Lord Jesus, thank You for living the perfect life that is completely beyond my ability. Instead, help me to live for Your glory all my days. Amen.
