Immanuel provides NURTURE to members and friends beginning with the welcoming handshake as you enter worship services, to coffee and fellowship (and maybe a donut or two) between services. Nurture continues with Immanuel Lutheran School, ministries to children and families, youth fellowship and learning, parent information nights, adult Bible studies, Stephen Ministry Christian care, and I AM (Immanuel Active Adult Ministry).

While second in position in the acronym N.O.W., OUTREACH is first in the hearts and minds of the members and leaders of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. As stated in the strategic ministry plan, "The highest priority of Immanuel Lutheran shall be reaching people in the community who need to be welcomed into the body of Christ with the Good News of our Lord and Savior, whether seekers or unchurched, whether believers or those of little or no faith, whether active or inactive members of Immanuel Lutheran. The means to this end will involve a) empowering each church member for a personal life mission in the world, b) planting new churches, and c) sending out missionaries both near and far."
To that end, Immanuel is involved in providing meals for Lazarus House homeless shelter in St. Charles, Illinois, works at the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry on the first Friday of the month and collects items for donation at worship services the first weekend of each month, assists in the support of the mission work of Pastor Karl Kaye and his family in Thailand, and offers worship space to the Salam Lutheran Church ministry to Arabic Lutherans. The Hart to Hearts ministry provides assistance to local residents who need help with required home repairs and a new ministry is being designed to offer a hand of help and friendship to the residents of the Batavia Apartments.
Immanuel also provides financial support for a wide variety of missions and ministries through school chapel offerings, Sunday School offerings, and proprotional giving: ten percent of plate offerings received by Immanuel are redistributed to outside missions and ministries each month.
WORSHIP at Immanuel is a living thing.
Traditional worship (Saturdays at 5:30 p.m., Sundays at 8 and 9:30 a.m., and Mondays at
7:15 p.m. June 13-August 15) is infused wtih a variety of litergy that offers those who prefer this setting a true sense of tradition. Sacred music is offered by one of several choirs, soloists, and vocal or instrumental ensembles; and Immanuel's pastors joyfully take opportunity to share the Gospel at every service.
Contemporary worship (Sundays at 10:45 a.m.) is a blended service that offers a freer setting while maintaining a clear Gospel message shared through readings and sermons, and supported by our amazing praise band, which leads the musical portions of this service.
Volunteers contribute to worship services by acting as greeters, youth acolytes, ushers, offering the selected readings or by assisting the pastors with Holy Communion.
